Lucasfilm and Star Wars Continues HORRIBLE Storytelling with Ahsoka

The trailer for the upcoming Ahsoka series may prove that Star Wars is still lying about the titular character. Since Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka has been a lone warrior fighting for good in the galaxy. This was shown during Star Wars Rebels, with Ahsoka acting as Fulcrum, an essential intelligence operative for the early Rebel Alliance.

Since then, Ahsoka’s story in Star Wars has been centered on the New Republic era. From her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn to her mission to find the missing Jedi Ezra Bridger, Ahsoka will detail the fan-favorite characters' fight for peace in the time of The Mandalorian. However, despite her good-natured acts, Lucasfilm may still be lying about her character's status as a Jedi based on the Ahsoka trailer.

This mixed information comes from the differences between Dave Filoni’s recent comments and the Ahsoka trailer. The trailer has a tagline of “Warrior, Outcast, Rebel, Jedi”, all of which could apply to Ahsoka’s journey from her conception to where she is by the time of her own show. She was a warrior during the Clone Wars, an outcast from the Jedi Order, a Rebel helping Phoenix Squadron, and a Jedi by heart through it all. That being said, the Jedi section is where the cracks begin to form, with Filoni recently insisting Ahsoka still does not consider herself a Jedi.

In a recent interview with Empire, Filoni stated that the titular Togruta is acting more as a lone wanderer in Ahsoka. Filoni made sure to point out that Ahsoka still houses some distrust with organizations as a whole - including the Jedi - especially after the Jedi Order’s actions during the Clone Wars saw her become disillusioned with the peacekeeping wizards. These comments lie in direct contrast with Ahsoka’s trailer - as well as the title of The Mandalorian season 2, episode 5 - that labels Ahsoka as a Jedi, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
