The reel was clearly used and not in new condition. But Amazon was quick to rectify the situation and sent me a replacement fast. The Penn Battle III 6000 is a beautiful reel and its even better in person than what you see in pictures.
The quality and attention to detail is impressive. I found the reel to be very smooth and quiet on the retrieve. It feels well-balanced and comfortable in my hand, despite being on the larger side.
The anti-reverse feature is also very strong and reliable. I paired the Penn Battle III with some 15lb test mono line and it handled it with ease. Im sure it could handle heavier line if needed.
Its a versatile and sturdy reel that can handle a variety of fishing situations. Overall, Im extremely satisfied with my purchase of the Penn Battle III.
It exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a high quality spinning fishing reel.
