These welterweight warriors clashed and Carson emerged with his first-ever win under the BKFC banner.

This was Carson’s first BKFC fight in close to a year and a half and he clearly made amendments to his game. A lot of growth was had from his first bare-knuckle bout to the sophomore effort and he had an overall superior understanding of technique.

Speaking to ‘Big Boy’ Chris Jensen of BKN, ‘The Carolina Gamedog’ had a lot to touch on following this fight.

When asked what he thought about Hermreck’s energy in there and if he brought anything different to the bout outside of his preconceived notions, Carsons said, “Yeah, I mean, I watched his fights and the dude is like a madman that just comes at you like an insane person. Like, I knew that, like he was going to be game.”

“He was going to come to finish me, and he was going to try to punish me from bell to bell. But I just had a mentality to destroy him. Like I planned to like, just annihilate him in there at all costs. Like I could not lose this fight.”

Trukon Carson told us he adapted smoothly to his last-minute opponent switch in this BKFC Greenville bout. He stayed very zen through the whole experience and rolled with it.

Carson has had seven MMA bouts across amateur and professional competition prior to the move to bare-knuckle boxing. He took a couple of years away from mixed martial arts to become a business owner but Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship enticed him back into combat sports.

The on-and-off lifelong martial artist now says this is his “favorite combat sport ever”.
