Not a true dichotomy, in fact it is a False dilemma.

False dichotomy, or false binary, is an informal fallacy based on a premise that erroneously limits what options are available.
The source of the fallacy lies not in an invalid form of inference, but in a false premise. (Before he was incarnated)

Tom intentionally tries to instigate controversy for the sake of popularity and viewership, very much like Darth Dawkins does.
The most obvious example was the interaction with the insecure MALE "Praise I Am" attacking Darth, where he was Leading the Witness to say what Tom wanted and he succeeded.

Psychiatrist John F. Oliven of Columbia University coined the term transgender in his 1965 reference work Sexual Hygiene and Pathology

In this occasion, we can see that Tom is again trying to instigate a controversy amongst christians with Sex and Gender.

Sex

Sex is a biological construct based on anatomy, physiology, genetics, and hormones. (These components are sometimes referred to together as “sex traits.”)

Gender

Gender can be broadly defined as a multidimensional construct that encompasses gender identity and expression, as well as social and cultural expectations about status, characteristics, and behaviour as they are associated with certain sex traits.
