Water Festival, Thin-Gyan, is celebrated happily every year in Myanmar (Burma) as a Myanmar Lunar new year.
But this year, people of Myanmar could not celebrate it as usual. Because they are not happy with Military coup in 2021. They are trying to fight against the mighty army with what they have.
This song describe about the Padauk, (Gum-Kino trees) which usually blossom at the time of #Myanmar traditional Lunar new year. It is usually in second week of April. Myanmar people loves Padauk flowers so much it blossoms every year when it rains for a while. Myanmar people welcome the new year withe Padauk and water party. We believe traditionally that sins and bad lucks are washed by this water.
But this year, we are not happy with the Coup. The military Junta is killing its own people everywhere and destroying and burning the people's properties instead of protecting them.
So we are running away leaving home. Most of the people are in great danger this moment.
So we could not enjoy this particular water party together with Padauk. And I think that the Padauk would also feel sorry for us.
This is what is happening in Myanmar now.
