Basketball coach Dalibor Destanović (47) suddenly collapses, dies mid-game (Romanian, no subs)

APRIL 4, 2023. Serbian basketball coach Dalibor Destanović (47) suddenly collapsed and died of cardiac arrest while coaching his Phoenix Galati U16 boys' team in Romania. The incident happened during the first quarter.

Note that in the game footage, Destanović is the man in the gray track suit. You can see him standing up and coaching in the footage shot before he collapses.

There is criticism that the ambulance came with a paramedic but without a doctor. If I understand correctly a doctor was also legally required to be present during the game, but wasn't. The police have opened a criminal case for manslaughter and failure to take legal safety and health measures at work.

As is the norm, nowhere is questioned publicly why there is a such a dramatic increase in young, apparently healthy people who suddenly drop dead.
