Before Lil Wayne Formed Young Money and launched Drake and Nicki Minaj. Before he was arrested for weapons charges back in 2010, Before he was a member of Hot Boys selling over a million records at the ago of 16.

He was born to a 19 year old mother and no longer speaks to his biological father, he was enrolled in a gifted program in elementary school and excelled at drama. At the age of 12 he was selling crack and one day accidentally shot himself in the chest.

Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. was born on September 27, 1982, Louisianna New Oreleans and grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood one of poorest hoods in the city.

He was born when his mother, a cook, was 19 years old. His parents divorced when he was 2, and his father permanently abandoned the family.
