Russia downs Ukrainian assault helicopter with BUK missile; Kremlin states clear war goal

Russian forces said that a BUK anti-aircraft missile system team system shot down a Ukrainian MI-24 assault helicopter in Zaporozhzhia on Friday. They claimed to have thwarted an air strike on their positions by the Ukrainian aircraft. Russia is said to have eliminated a Ukrainian reconnaissance group in the Donetsk region. As war rages on the battlefield, allies have pushed their peace formulas on Russia's table.
