008-Qur'an Class Surat-ul-BAQARAH (Ayaat No. 01 to 05) ki TAFSEER (By Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza)
vVerse 1: Alif-Lam-Mim. This is a book, the verses of which are perfect (in every sphere of knowledge, wisdom and guidance), and then explained in detail from One All-Wise, All-Aware.
This verse is a declaration that the Quran is a book of guidance and wisdom, revealed by Allah, the all-knowing and all-wise. The letters "Alif-Lam-Mim" at the beginning of this Surah are known as the 'Muqatta'at' and their meaning is known only to Allah.
Verse 2: (This is) a guide for the righteous.
This verse highlights the fact that the Quran is a guide for those who seek righteousness and guidance from Allah.
Verse 3: Those who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them.
This verse describes the characteristics of those who will benefit from the guidance of the Quran. They are those who have faith in the unseen, perform prayer, and give charity from what Allah has provided them.
Verse 4: And who believe in what has been revealed to you, (O Muhammad), and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain (in faith).
This verse emphasizes the importance of believing in all the revelations of Allah, including what was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and what was revealed to the previous prophets. It also highlights the importance of having certainty in the Hereafter.
Verse 5: It is they who are guided by their Lord; and it is they who will prosper.
This verse reinforces the message that those who believe in Allah, His messengers, and the revelations sent down to them, and who strive to live according to their teachings, are the ones who are truly guided by Allah and will ultimately succeed
