WHAT IS WILLFUL COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT? CLICK TO KNOWLEDGE-UP!!!

In this video, you will learn about the legal definition of WILLFUL COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. As you will see, this term can encompass many different types of actions such as:

1. Intentional infringement

2. Knowing infringement

3. Reckless disregard of a copyright owner's rights

4. Allegations of willfulness in a complaint (lawsuit) that are not responded to and accepted as true in entering a default judgment.

The opposite of "willful" infringement is "innocent" infringement. This can make a big difference when you are dealing with a Plaintiff who has registered copyright seeking up to $150,000 per infringed work for willful infringement, versus much less if the piracy was innocent, accidental, not knowing, or negligent.
