After rapper-slash-rockstar Mario Judah burst onto the scene in the midst of the pandemic with a unique look and a one-of-a-kind sound, he’d discover for himself that the internet can taketh away just as quickly as it giveth when a series of leaked videos from his personal life cast a long shadow over his professional accomplishments. But long before he’d reach that particular epiphany, Mario Diamond-Judah Douglas was born on December 6th, 1999 in Flint, Michigan. At some point during his childhood, his Ugandan parents packed their family up and moved south to Atlanta, Georgia which would quickly become Judah’s adopted hometown. From his earliest days as an infant, it was clear that Mario had something of a gift for music. After all, his dad once told him that when Judah was still only 10 months old, he was able to keep a steady beat on a drum set. And while that sounds nothing short of miraculous to me, even with such a natural talent Mario wasn’t set on entering the world of music. Instead, his original plan was to become a teacher. Then, as he grew older, his plans changed a number of times until he had ambitions of becoming a football player.
