The Ukrainian military has named the soldier shot by Russian forces on video as Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura, a prisoner of war who went missing in early February.
Kyiv has opened a criminal investigation into what it said was Russia’s “brutal and brazen shooting of an unarmed person”.
