Snowmageddon 2016 Preparations & More Storm Damage & Dead Chickens

The storm they are calling Snowmageddon 2016 was on its way Friday so I went out to get supplies. When I got home, I found more storm damage from the strong winds the other day.

I went out to get some groceries and gas for the homestead in case the storm would hit hard like they are saying it will.

When I got home, I had to chase all my chickens and put them back into the chicken coop. They were all out freely running around the homestead.

I then discovered that the wind the other day caused a lot more damage to the chicken coop than I first realized. The deer netting was torn to bits in many places.

The electric fence protecting the chickens has been demolished and is not working at all now.

Predators had gotten into the chicken coop and killed some birds.

I spent the afternoon repairing the chicken fence all the way around.
