The march setting off from Broad Street. It was a good turn out. I think the numbers were in the thousands.
Oxford City Council is one of many local authorities in the UK, and around the world, that are seeking to control when and how people travel around their own cities. In the case of Oxford, the council is seeking to divide the city into districts and wishes to control the number of times residents can leave their district by car each year. Fines are proposed for those who exceed their 'allowance'. The barriers are already going up.
