Summertime Fun at SOUTH SISTER in OR, USA

I love the three sisters… I have attempted Middle-Sister but have had to turn back 50 feet from the Summit which was a BUMMER! South Sister, however, is a different story where I have summited many, many times. It is a regular yearly “must do” hike for yours truly. Here are the know before you go items:
* 10 Essentials - bring’em! Bring plenty of H2O
* To park at the DEVILS LAKE TRAILHEAD you will need either an AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL PASS, NORTHWEST FOREST PASS or a DAY PASS.
* If hiking DAY or NIGHT between JUNE 15th and OCTOBER 15th then you will need to get the “CENTRAL CASCADES WILDERNESS PERMIT”
* If hiking into OBSIDIAN AREA side of MIDDLE-SISTER (Obsidian Trailhead on west side approach.) you will also need a PASS which you can acquire at McKENZIE RANGER DISTRICT, 57600 McKenzie Highway, McKenzie Bridge, OR 97413 (Phone: 541.822.3381)
