A quick note on non compliance:

As an individual it is up to you to assess your own individual risk and make the right choice for you. If you choose to not comply, consider what would or wouldn’t be smart to take pictures of on your phone that uploads ti cloud services. Consider wisely what you post photos and videos of online.
Yes a third hole lower is technically just as illegal as a braced SBR. but one of those is much more likely to have a easier time arguing in court lol.

The jist of the problem:
Braces not banned. But pistols with braces are almost entirely to be considered SBR.

Not technically illegal to own a brace but also one of the only legal options if you don’t make the barrel over 16” is to
Remove and make permanent modifications so the brace can’t be re installed.

If the buffer tube is vital to operating, the buffer tube is fine.
What about 22lr converted uppers?
What about a lower that occasionally sees a brn180? What about my p320 with the arm brace?

In cali I can not legally have an SBR. I can not form 1 make. Or form 4 transfer an SBR as a private citizen.

In Cali we have the option of:
-Send my gun to atf to be approved or denied(don’t)
-Add 16” barrel upper to it and add a stock
-remove brace and make impossible to reinstall
-destroy/get rid of the gun?

What’s interesting is the atf is saying that technically even though they had previously said “all good bro” to the sales of these pistols. They are now claiming they have ALWAYS been an SBR. And because they are so kind they are allowing a grace period to comply.

How many people who aren’t gun nuts actually know what’s going on? I don’t see much word of this on mainstream news? Who is going to end up getting weavered because they bought a pistol 7 years ago and don’t watch YouTube or have a Twitter?

A GLIMMER OF HOPE:
I believe many orgs are already taking action against this. Specifically the SAF is making actual progress not just using your anger to fundraise.

FPC/goa are always good orgs to support also.

Fuddbusters brought up many issues into the process of how this has been handled and discussed many avenues of attack. I’m hopeful to see this shut down at the least temporarily while it is drug through the courts.
