The mallard or wild duck is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical United States, Canada, Eurasia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa.
Lifespan: 5 – 10 years (In the wild)
Scientific name: Anas platyrhynchos
Clutch size: 8 – 13 (Female, Adult)
Wingspan: 81 – 98 cm (Adult)
Length: 50 – 65 cm (Adult)
