From the minute they met in Fast 7, Luke and Deckard were literally at eachothers necks. Sworn enemies who hated even the slightest thought of eachother. In Hobbs and Shaw though, we see the two "sort of" putting away their egos and differences to fend off a terrorist organisation, Eteon, who's intent is to destroy mankind's weaker ones and evolve the world with cybernetics. Eteon sends it's best super soldier, Brixton Lore, a resurrected assassin with the highest level of cybernetic upgrades making him faster and stronger than Hobbs and Shaw combined. Complicated enough, Deckard and Brixton have a bitter history.
