Celebrate A New Year With Love!

Midnight strike of clock welcomes a new year.
With its advent we ring in hope with cheer.
We bid the year goodbye and the old way
to welcome dreams and plans of a new day.

With the New Year let us uplift the weak,
provide a voice to those who cannot speak,
walk in sync with the weary another mile,
give food and clothes to the poor with a smile.

Bring water to people who are parched and thirst,
heal the sick that require medicine first,
find every refugee a safe, secure home,
banish poverty so poor need not roam.

Spread seeds of love throughout a hurting world,
so, men unite, and peace flags are unfurled.
This New Year, if we achieve all we state,
then dreams, plans and joy we shall celebrate!
