Springfield Operator Lightweight 1911 Pistol Table Top Review

The Springfield Operator 1911 Lightweight is a unique1911 pistol design that has shown itself to be very reliable. One of the differences between the Springfield Operator 1911 compared to other models is that the feed ramp is made as part of the barrel compared to the original design where the traditional 1911 design had the feed ramp as part of the frame.

I believe this design is better for the longevity of the lightweight model due to the alloy frame. Ammo hitting an alloy frame could cause damage that may eventually lead to feeding issues.
