Surrender All in Life and Spirit Are You Friends with the World

James in verse 4 states very clearly that if you are a friend of the world, then you are an enemy of God. What James is addressing is the idolatry that we possess. If you put things before God, then you will find out just how jealous God can be as verse 5 states. As Christians we should want to put God first and all things will come together in His time and in His way. In verse 6, God wants to give more grace to the humble. God will break down your pride and create humility in you to use you effectively for advancing His kingdom.
