NEIGH WAY OUT: Officers On Horseback Chase Down Robbery Suspects

This footage shows officers riding on horseback and chasing down a trio of robbery suspects who allegedly stole piles of clothing from a shop.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from the Folsom Police Department, along with a statement according to which the robbery incident took place in the streets of Folsom, in the US state of California.

The statement said: "While out patrolling the Folsom Outlets, two members of the Folsom Police Department Mounted Unit discovered a trio who had allegedly stolen armfuls of clothing from one of the stores."

Body-worn footage shows an officer from the Folsom Police mounted on a horse and catching up with other officers to assist in the arresting of the suspects, later identified as Damon Hooker, 27, and Rodney Moultrie, 22.

The two were booked into the Sacramento County jail on charges of Grand Theft, Organized Retail Theft and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

The third suspect is yet to be located and identified, the police said.

Through the course of their investigation, the officers on scene determined that the suspects had stolen from other stores and located over USD 10,000 (GBP 8,200) worth of merchandise from at least two stores.
