On this episode of Aftershocks TV, Matt sits down with ex-SOULFLY and current ILL NINO guitarist Marc Rizzo. The guys discuss Rizzo's latest project REVENGE BEAST and the band's first single 'EGREGORE' off their soon-to-be-released debut album on Upstate Records. Marc starts things off by discussing the band's formation and musical direction and how his approach on the record differed from what he has historically done with Soulfly for the past two decades. Rizzo discusses his underrated status as a guitar virtuoso and how his previous band kept him from being aware of other opportunities that were made available to him during his tenure with Soulfly. He talks about him rejoining his original band ILL NINO and how their sound and style have evolved over the years since his departure in the early 2000's. Rizzo talks about how his departure from Soulfly has allowed him to focus on his own legacy as a renowned guitarist, his solo work and what he has planned for future releases and live shows, and much more.
