Secret History: Kinsey's Paedophiles

Alfred Kinsey’s book ‘Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male’ (1948) was credited with kickstarting the sexual revolution. What many people don’t know about Kinsey is that Chapter 5 of his book, which dealt with child sexuality, was compiled from the diaries of a paedophile.

In 1948, the Institute for Sex Research at Indiana University was led by eugenicist Alfred C. Kinsey, whose sex research shook America's moral foundations and launched the 1960s Sexual Revolution.

This is a Yorkshire Television production for Channel 4, produced and directed by Tim Tate, and aired on August 10, 1998. The show features interviews with Kinsey team members Paul Gebhard and Clarence Tripp, Kinsey Institute director John Bancroft and several of Kinsey's biographers.
