Are mortgage backed securities a good source of passive income?

Good question.

Mortgage-backed securities, called MBS, are bonds secured by home and other real estate loans. They are created when a number of these loans, usually with similar characteristics, are pooled together.

In some cases mortgage backed securities can be a good source of passive income but in other cases they are not good investments. To know the difference you need a proper financial education.
