This month HappyToast and Wordcloud tarot are releasing a new #tarot deck, the easiest
deck to read in the whole world: the meanings are written on the cards in words too!

To celebrate, Adam does a five minute reading to show the cards and demonstrate the technique, asking a common Tarot question: Should you #quit your #job?

### Past - 4 Of Cups, Luxury

Historically your current job has been very easy,
you've been lazing around in an almost _automated_
way, _aimless_ and _apathetic_ about your employment.
Yes, _bored_ and facing _ennui_ at the _fate_ you
face staying at this _hopeless_ and _lazy_ _tedium_.

### Present - 2 Of Cups, Love

At the moment, you love it. You do. You have
_friends_ there, and _companionship_.
_Comraderie_ with your _collaborators_.
It's _amusing_ and you are _intimately_
_connected_ to your co-workers.

It's a good gig. _tranquil_ and _amusing_.

### Future - 5 Of Pentacles, Worry

But the future is more _worrisome_.
There is some _economic_ _doubt_ about
the future of the company and it's
_failure_ would be _frustrating_, filling
you with _depression_ and _dejection_ and
_despair_.

Does it even pay enough _money_?

This _employment_ is easy, but it has
_inadequate_ _income_ and you can feel yourself
atrophying and becoming _sluggish_ from
lack of personal growth.

### Intervention - 8 Of Trumps, Strength

So here's the intervention: _strength_.

Will you be _assured_ and _brave_ enough to quit?
Do you have the _confidence_ and _dynamism_?
You'll need new income source?

The _instability_ and _longing_ may end if you are
_optimistic_ about the future and _sacrifice_
comfort now, for _stamina_ and _vigour_ later.

### Influence - 13 Of Wands, Queen

One influence on your decision will be your
lover, the queen of wands.

They are _confident_ and _enthusiastic_
about your change of career.
They are _flamboyantly_ and _forthright_,
so not afraid to say so either.
They are _unbridled_ and _nuanced_,
as they wax _lyrical_ about your new career.

It's clear they want the best for you.

### Obstacles - 14 Of Pentacles, King

The Obstacle your current boss:
_entrepreneurial_ and _corporate_,
he's a _billionaire_ _businessman_
who is _disciplined_ and _knowledgeable_.

He is _trustworthy_ and _skilled_,
it's certainly harder to leave a job with a
good _proficient_ and _reputable_ boss.

But he wants what is good for his company.

### Outcome - 11 Of Pentacles, Page

If you find the strength to quit,
you will become an _apprentice_
learning to do _crafty_ things,
or a _banker_ doing _bookish_ things,
or a _businessman_ doing _enterprising_ things.

You will be a _professional_,
get _promotions_ and be a
_respectful_, _skillful_ _worker_.

The Page that you will become is a _workaholic_,
_studious_ and _focused_.

### Summary

The current job is pretty easy, you aren't stressed
or stretched. You love the boss and the people,
have friends and good camaraderie.

But you are worried for the future of the company,
and your own future if you don't stretch yourself.

If you listen to your lover who wants the best for you,
instead of your boss who wants the best for his business,
you do indeed have the strength to quit and learn new
things and become a better professional.

If you want to be the page, you need to find
the strength to do as your lover suggests,
not stay comfortable in the same lazy routine.
