Winter is coming and it is time to begin the southern migration. Fair winds are forecast on the Gulf of Maine, but there are only the faintest catspaws inside the sheltered waters of Quahog Bay. It will be early afternoon before I finally take my departure from Maine, bound for Vineyard Sound.
