Since the Walt Disney Company acquired Lucas Film and all the Star Wars properties in the process its been an up and down hill ever since. Lots of projects have been planned and cancelled. We haven't had a Star Wars movie in the theaters since Rise of the Skywalker. Show's like Mandalorian have seen mild success with fans but most has not been well received.
