On the morning of October 24, two companies of the 3rd and 8th separate regiments of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of Ukraine attempted to conduct reconnaissance in combat near the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in Borozensky and Pyatikhatki (150 km northeast of Kherson).

According to the Military Chronicle, the Ukrainian special forces used three Husky TSV light armored vehicles converted to use the Soviet Fagot ATGM.

Additional reinforcements were brought to the special forces on conventional vehicles: soldiers of the 17th Territorial Defense Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine arrived at their positions in a bus, KamAZ dump trucks and pickup trucks with heavy machine guns.

At 05:00 this convoy was detected by the Orlan-30 drone. Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces dealt a blow to the accumulation of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After an air strike from the first line of defense on the Krivoy Rog tactical arc (Mylovoe - Sukhanovo - Borozenskoye), the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine additionally worked out 152-mm Giacint-B guns, as well as 300-mm Smerch rocket launchers.

The total number of deaths from the Ukrainian side during the sortie to the fortified area of ​​the RF Armed Forces exceeds 80 people. At least ten pieces of equipment were also lost, including all Husky TSV armored vehicles and civilian vehicles.
