Going Off-Grid

What would life without utility bills be like? Is that even possible?
Maybe you’ve heard legend of someone actually living "off-grid", but do they actually exist, and what modern conveniences do they sacrifice to achieve this feat? In this episode of Ready, Set, Renovate! our guest Derek Zurley became the proud homeowner of a modern “off grid” home. In 2020 he and his family moved into their new and very unique dwelling. Derek discusses the power source for his home (*spoiler alert* Tesla batteries are part of the power supply equation) and what it took to get the system up & running.
