Stolen Dog Reunited With Owner
Adog that was inside of a vehicle when it was stolen has been found and returned to its home.

Jaxx is a 1.5 year old brown Mastiff-Shepherd mix who had just been adopted by Austin Flegel and his girlfriend when the unthinkable happened.

The couple had adopted Jaxx on June 6th and on the way home had stopped at a pet store, according to a recent article from CTV News.

They left Jaxx inside their vehicle and were inside the pet store for approximately five minutes.

“He was way too scared [to come in]. He was shaking and we didn’t want to terrify him even more by bringing him inside,” the couple said.

When they returned, they found their vehicle was stolen and Jaxx was nowhere to be found. (You can read more about the story by following this link.)

Fast forward to last Sunday, something amazing happened and Jaxx was found.

“At first I was like, ‘Oh, this is just another sighting,’” said Austin, adding that he had lost hope of ever seeing Jaxx again despite his mother constantly sending him photos of lost dogs that she found online.

“Every day there’s been pictures of dogs from my mom but this time, she sent me a picture and I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s him,’” he said.

The photo was snapped near the Can-Am RV Centre in south London. Austin and his family jetted there and moments later found Jaxx.

“He was really scared,” said Austin. “We’d walk up to him and try and get him but he would shy away.”

When they were unsuccessful, they called Jaxx’s original owners for help.

“They showed up really quick. They were there in like 20 minutes and as soon as they showed up, they got him in like five minutes. He came to them and we got him some food and everything and he kind of relaxed a little bit,” said Austin.
