Welsh 'Care Leavers' Given Money

Today the Welsh government announced that they will give every care leaver £19K a year for 2 years. It is called Universal Basic Income and is the latest flavour of the month for socialists.

I argue that the money would be better spent educating them on life skills, finances, employment opportunities, and so much more.
Care leavers do need additional help and support, but handing over money does not solve any problem.

And shouldn't we also be focusing on prevention, so children do not end up in the care system. More support for failing parents so children can stay at home.

Its a very complicated topic, no easy answers. The only fact is that we need to do better for children in care.
