Taiwan Just Proved That Deflation Has Begun

Taiwan just proved that deflation has begun. Inflation has decreased for the second month in a row, and the country's central bank has lowered its target for the year. The news comes as a relief to investors, who had been worried that the country's weak economy was causing prices to spiral out of control. deflation can have dangerous consequences for an economy, leading to a decrease in the value of assets and a rise in unemployment. But while deflation may be a sign that the economy is weakening, it's still too early to say that Taiwan is in for a long and difficult recovery. For now, things are looking good for the country, but investors will be watching closely to see if the trend continues.
