A ridge with a strong southwesterly wind will send hot and moist air into the Great Lakes Region, bringing the potential for heat index values over 100 degrees. A cold front will feed off of this highly unstable air mass and bring widespread supercell potential across much of Michigan and Northern Indiana. All severe hazards will be possible with tornado potential focused over Lower Michigan.
