Prince Charles took Bin Laden family’s money – media

Heir to the British throne Prince Charles has found himself in hot water over an alleged donation of over a million dollars to his charity from Osama Bin Laden’s family, which the Times reports he ‘personally secured’ back in 2013.

According to the outlet’s sources, Charles hosted a private meeting between himself and Bin Laden’s half-brothers, after which he ‘personally brokered’ the deal. He agreed to the hefty donation despite objections from his staff and even his charity, the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation (PWCF). He pressed ahead, reportedly not wanting to ‘embarrass’ the brothers.

The Times’ report follows a recently dropped investigation into multi-million-dollar donations made by the Qatari royal family to the PWCF, and media reports that the prince had received shopping bags full of cash during the exchanges.
