Unnamed 1890's Road up Montebello Ridge

Looking for remnants of the old 1895 road that ran from Stevens Canyon Rd. to Montebello Road. This old road runs from the first creek crossing up to near the top of Montebello Road, which is now paved. This road shows up on the 1930 USGS topo map but not an any later versions. It's in great shape except for the sections that are heavily overgrown.

This video was shot in the spring of 2020 and was when I first started searching for these old roads. I might venture back up and see if I can get any higher. There seemed to have been one or two buildings up where the road cut back to the SE after going up the side canyon. It's likely that those would not have been demolished and hauled away like MidPen does with more accessible structures.
