Germany to send Ukraine one of its most modern weapons...despite wanting Putin to declare an armistice

Germany will send more advanced weapons to Ukraine, Chancellor Olaf Scholz told parliament on Wednesday. Among other items, the government has decided to deliver IRIS-T air defense systems to the country, he said.

This is in spite of the fact that Germany has voiced concern over sanctions and embargos against Russia as well as maintaining open dialogue with Putin in regards to pushing for peace.
