For one, the Trump-era US-China trade war has continued under Biden without missing a beat.

Second, there is still no evidence being shown that Huawei poses a “national security threat” to the US - rather than simply outcompeting US companies.

Third, this isn’t even about the alleged US “need” to contain China - because Washington is applying similar pressure through similar tactics on its closest Western allies - including Germany over the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
