STUDY: students in lock-down states fell behind academically; opposite in Texas and Florida

May 11, 2022 - A new study found that “high-poverty schools” suffered large losses in academic achievement by switching to remote learning during the coronavirus lockdowns.
However, districts in Florida and Texas that had students return to school for in-person instruction sooner lost relatively little ground.
