How do we mature into the core of our being: the journey from I AM to full consciousness. The core of our being, the core of I AM is the underlying structure upon which everything is built. Being itself can be likened to a trunk of a tree. From this trunk, the so-called I AM, you have grown many branches, or fundamental structures of your personality such as your views, principles, your feelings about yourself. This essential teaching leads you much deeper than the sense of the person you think yourself to be.
Each one of us has an immediate sense of his/her being, the challenge is to abide in this deeper knowing. This is why through the meditative practice of I AM we are able to continuously return from the ‘branches’ to the ‘trunk’ of the tree or to that which is fundamental to our being. Finally, the ‘roots’ of this tree represent the maturity of your being, the I AM as polished being. From this place of maturity, you are able to mold and transform the branches of your being. Further developing the natural and healthy offshoots and healing, dismantling and transcending the unnatural ones. The potentiality of liberation lies at the core of the I AM. This core is awareness-consciousness itself. Through this process of maturing you awaken to your liberated state, the lightless light of awareness, fundamental stability, and the freshness of the NOW.
