What's the biggest flaw with Calvinism?

In John 3:1-21 Jesus explains to Nicodemus that unless one is born again through the Holy Spirit he cannot see the kingdom of Heaven. But what about those in the Old Testament like Abraham who were saved by faith apart from the dwelling of the Holy Spirit? The Calvinistic viewpoint is that God has to regenerate us before we're saved because we are dead in our trespasses and sins. But is that the correct interpretation? Frank says NO.
