Small dog acts as owner's personal trainer
Do you ever feel guilty about those excess holiday calories? It's that time of year when overindulgence rules. We drink a little more than usual and of course we certainly eat more as well. At this time of year we throw caution to the wind and break from our regular healthy eating regimen. This particularly guy was feeling a little guilty about his consumption of banana cream pie at the family dinner.
The gym was closed on Christmas day so he simply had to do something to alleviate his guilt. Luckily, this little dog was willing to jump right into action and help this man with a short spontaneous workout. The weight of a 12 pound dog on his back would make him burn a few extra calories as he did his push-ups. Everybody knows that when you are male and over 40 all those excess calories go right to the belly. Maybe a few strenuous push-ups would stop this from happening.
The holidays are the perfect time to enjoy healthy meals with good friends and family but sometimes eating calorie-rich foods is more the norm. With all the delicious foods on the table, it's really hard to resist. Sometimes the best approach is to sample a small amount of everything. No need to feel guilty because this is a special occasion and we can always work those calories off later. Sometimes people do go overboard with the food intake during the holidays and it's interesting to note that emergency rooms often see an uptick in heart related ailments during the season.
People often choose weight loss as their New Years resolution and it's typical for most people to pack on a few extra pounds during the holiday season. If you are a rigid person when it comes to your diet, you can make heart healthy meals if you choose. There are plenty of diet conscious menus to choose from so you have many options.
Do you eat to excess during the holiday season or do you stick rigidly to your diet? We would love to hear your comments below and if you enjoyed this video clip, feel free to share it with your friends.

Poodle gets pranked
Dice the poodle and his friend Basil go back a long way. They have known each other for almost 12 years. When Basil was down in Hollywood the other day , he saw a mask in the window of a store that reminded him a lot of his buddy Dice. He got an idea that it might be fun to play a little practical joke on his canine partner.
Dice is a sweet-natured pup who is full of energy and loves to play games himself. Basil thought it would be interesting to see how Dice would react If he came through the door wearing this very realistic poodle mask. Would Dice be amused or even a little scared? How did his buddy of almost 12 years morph into a human/canine hybrid? As Basil walked through the door there was almost a stunned silence as Dice tried to figure out what was going on. Then suddenly Dice yelped and starting jumping on and off the couch like he had lost his mind. After a few minutes Dice finally recognized his buddy and understood that he had been the victim of a practical joke. He rolled around on the couch feeling a little foolish as Basil petted him. After that Basil took Dice on a nice long walk in the park and all was forgiven. Poodles are such wonderful pets. They are energetic, extremely intelligent and very protective. We have had 3 poodles in our lives and all of them were the best pet you could ever desire. The oldest one lived to the ripe old age of 17. We hope that you enjoy this clip and maybe it will inspire you to play a silly prank on your own pet. You will find that even your pets have a sense of humor!

Adorable dog does a silly tap dance when he smells chicken
Do you have a favorite food? Well this 14 yr old poodle named Dice knows exactly what he likes. His favorite food is chicken in any form and when he smells it cooking he launches into his happy dance. He's just hoping for a tender morsel. He isn't fussy. He will take chicken in any form, baked, fried or even a little chicken in a microwave meal. They say that the sense of smell is the last thing to go, but this dogs snout can pick up the smell of chicken from a mile away. When he smells his favorite food he gets happy feet or should we say happy paws. He looks and sounds like a canine tap dancer as he balances on his hind legs doing the chicken dance.
How can you resist sharing a bite with him? He works so hard for his tidbits. Even when he is asleep upstairs the smell of chicken cooking somewhere in the house rouses him to investigate. Actually lean chicken is very healthy for a dog treat and it's even recommended for an upset tummy. Veterinarians often recommend some white rice with chicken for a dog suffering a tummy upset.
He is as cute as can be as he tip taps around the kitchen doing his begging whimper at the same time. It works like a charm because his humans always fall for his routine. Do your dogs have a favorite food? It is the rare dog that will ever turn down a juicy piece of chicken. Just remember to never give dogs chicken bones as they can splinter in the stomach and cause injury.

Sneaky poodle is a master cookie theif
Do you share snacks with your family pet? Well sometimes the family pet makes that decision for you. Take Dice for instance. He is a 14 year old poodle with a sweet tooth, and sometimes his appetite gets the better of him. His human was just enjoying a couple of cookies after dinner and Dice spotted those tantalizing biscuits. His vision isn't what it used to be but his sniffer never lets him down.
You can see him battle with temptation. He knows the cookies are there and normally he will just politely beg for a snack. This time he noticed that his owner was distracted watching the television. He lays his eyes on the cookies. He notices a half eaten biscuit that smells just delicious... He gives the biscuits a quick sniff. He is thinking to himself, Should I move in for the kill while I have the chance? He decides to make his move and snatch the half eaten biscuit. Hey, She'll never miss it, he thinks to himself.
Poodles are funny animals with a lot of personality. Sometimes they can be sneaky when it comes to food. When they see something they like you have their full attention. Do your pets beg for your food when you are having a snack? If you enjoyed this little clip please share it with your friends.
