These are Whitetip Sharks and this video was taken off the Cocos Islands in the Pacific. Cocos is off the coast of Costa Rica and the island is know for its sharks. The Whitetip Sharks at Cocos sleep during the day and feed at night. All the fuzz that can be seen in the video is plankton that appears as a reflection when the video lights (or flash lights) shine directly on them and reflect back.

Socorro Island is known for its manta rays and in this video, four of these majestic animals swim with divers at Roca Partida (one of the numerous dive locations on Socorro Island). So cool!

Baby dolphin beached itself and was saved by local fishermen.

Lionfish are not native to the Caribbean (Gulf of Mexico) and they have no natural enemies in these waters except for man.

Such an amazing experience!

This baby turtle is just cuteness overload!

It appears that a juvenile dolphin has tried to beach itself. What you are seeing is hard to watch, but if you stay with the video long enough, it has a happy ending. At around 2 minutes into the video, look for the fishing boat in the left-hand corner and about twenty seconds later, look for the man wearing the orange shirt walking into the picture. There is some reason this juvenal has been separated from the pod. For example, a predictor was in the area, it was sick or injured, or something had happened to it’s mother. The possibilities are many, but it appears clear that the animal is stressed. It is hard to watch and not care how this turns out. The entire video is over 9 minutes long would show the boat backing up like it does here for another 2:12 with nothing exciting happening until they released the animal about a minute and a half from the end of this video.
