500,000 Christmas Lights Display Dazzles Spectators
The one thing that makes Christmas so freaking special, other that the gifts we get to exchange, of course, are the <a href="https://rumble.com/v421mr-christmas-canon-by-trans-siberian.html” target="_blank">Christmas lights</a> that we get to put up all around us. Their twinkling light gives us a sense of otherworldly presence, something that makes us believe that for a short period of time, we live in some magical land.
It is a tradition honored across the ages - people would decorate the outside of their houses and front lawns to celebrate the coming of the happiest time of the year. Even in those warmer regions, where snow is a thing of fiction, people would scatter fake snow to bring the <a href="https://rumble.com/v44tsb-adorable-pets-show-off-their-christmas-spirit.html” target="_blank">Christmas spirit</a> closer.
As time passed, technology became more available and even more affordable, people would go way out of their way to create the most elaborate yard decorations. Hollywood has made a fortune out of movies on this subject!
With over 500,000 lights this is without a doubt the biggest Christmas light show in New Zealand. Carl and Maureen from RockinLights Ltd have put together a phenomenal attraction with characters, displays and music to make this event a memorable one.
"You are going to be in-thrilled with the trains that are running among the displays," the show's organizers Carl and Maureen from RockinLights Ltd say. The patrons that will visit this light show will be treated to a musical lineup including AC/DC, Metallica, Doobie Brothers, Midge Marsden, Burning Rain, Devilskin and more.
The Christchurch Christmas light show runs from November 28 to December 30 from 8:30pm until midnight each day. Entry to the event is $5.

Drone shows Closed Off Road After Earthquake
Closed Off Sumner Road, Christchurch 4K Drone's View
From Lyttelton to Summit Road.
This road has been closed since the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. It was a popular scenic road of Lyttelton harbour and Sumner town. You can still visit and see the beautiful scenery at the top of Evans Pass. In this video you can see parts of the road have fallen away, or have grass growing over it, or boulders have fallen down on it. The road in its current state is unusable and the Christchurch City Council is working hard to fix it and reopen it to the public.

Japanese Motorcycle Gang: Bosozoku
The word bōsōzoku is also applied to motorcycle subculture with an interest in motorcycle customizing, often illegal, and making noise by removing the mufflers on their vehicles so that more noise is produced. These bōsōzoku groups also engage in dangerous or reckless driving, such as weaving in traffic, not wearing motorcycle helmets, and running red lights.

Earthquake Drill in Japan
Earthquake Drill in Japan

At public schools in Japan, earthquake drills are held from once a month to twice a year depending on the school. If an earthquake happens while they're in a classroom, the children learn to get under their desks, head first, and to hold on to the legs of the desk until the quake is over. After that the teacher leads them out of the building and calls the roll to make sure everybody is there and safe. This is practiced so that the students know what to do without thinking about it.

Toyata Car: COMS - The Super-Compact Electric Vehicle
This tiny car was spotted in Hachioji at a local seven-eleven. It is called a COMS meaning a super-compact electric vehicle and as you can see it is very small. It would be one of the smallest cars I have ever seen around.
Coms stands for
C - chotto (ちょっと) - a little
O - Odekake (お出かけ) - go out (as in leave the house)
M - Machimade (町まで) - until the town or city
S - Suisui (スイスイ) - have no idea :)
