Here is a video The Hair Dad made to show how to do straw curls. The straws were a buck and the elastics were, too. The Hair Dad just used a water spray bottle to mist the hair and dampen it before we curled it. When completed he used a bit of hair spray to hold it. No other products were used.

There are two things to know about learning how to do a french braid. 1.) When first starting out, use big sections of hair. It is much easier to do it this way. 2.) Practice, practice, practice.
