America after the Midterm Elections - CPAC in Japan 2022
The panel addresses the flaws and victories of the Republican Party in the midterm elections. Whitaker attributes the losses of Republicans to poor communication of messages. The Democrats were tirelessly campaigning and pressing the abortion issue when Republicans left room for improvement in emphasizing the issue of the economy. The Republicans still emerged victorious in the House of Representatives, but the Japanese media solely communicated a theme of loss for the Republicans. The mainstream media’s inaccurate messaging is another obstacle Republicans have to overcome, and Republicans need to take control of their own narrative.

Kazuyoshi Ueno - CPAC in Japan 2022
Kazuyoshi Ueno is striving to raise the political awareness of young people and unite conservatives around the world in a service called Liberty World. Japanese young people are afflicted by disinterest in politics. They believe politics will never change even if they vote, and they ignore digital content produced by politicians that disperse political information in an engaging and effective way. Ueno has focused on the development of Web 3.0 blockchain as a solution to reaching younger generations. He utilizes a three-point plan that supplies economic incentive to view political information, make a proposal to politicians, and finally by voting. Political participation has become increasingly important as China increasingly threatens the region with conflict and tyranny.

Nation-building through Next-Generation Media
Representatives of GETTR and The European Conservative comment on free speech in social media. The Left relies on companies like Apple and Facebook to maintain a stranglehold on American culture. Big tech is joining academia and legacy media as a communications branch of the Democrat Party. Conservatives respectfully allowed space for the expression of liberal ideas but in return, the Left suppresses conservative thought. Leftists are looking to China as a role model for imposing a surveillance state and indoctrinating citizens with communist ideology. Thus, communism and globalism is the common enemy of conservatives around the world. To fight them, conservatives need to create alternatives, such as GETTR, to Leftist organizations and unite together in events like CPAC.

Facing the Era of Global Crisis
This panel at CPAC Japan tackles the issue of international affairs in the Asian region. Japan is facing the brink of a crisis with North Korea and China closing in on the island in their military exercises and with China advancing in its nuclear weapon development. Japan is concerned not just for itself but for Taiwan as well whose geographic location is central in shipping routes to Japan. In reverse, Japan presents one of the greatest, if not the greatest, threats to Chinese power in Asia. Japan is militarily well-endowed and previous prime ministers, especially Prime Minister Abe, established systems that strengthened Japan against foreign adversaries. Whitaker urges Japan to remember that they have a friend in the United States. The United States can support Japan by distancing ourselves from China. We can break our manufacturing relationship with China and rely more on our trustworthy trade partners like Japan. We should do so for our own sake as well in light of China’s repeated theft of American military, agricultural, and technological information. Together, the United States and Japan can hinder the expansion of Chinese influence and military threats on Asia and the world.

Defense and Tax Reduction: For the Survival of the State and the people - CPAC in Japan 2022
The panel encourages a reduction in taxes in Japan in the United States for the benefit of the economy and the individual prosperity of Americans and Japanese. Both countries are recovering from the economic damage of the pandemic and are overcoming high inflation. They are a facing a dilemma between the need to increase defense spending but also the need to lower taxes to revamp the economy. Chang indicates that war is coming at any moment and defense spending is non-negotiable regardless of cost. Defense spending is even more imperative in Japan since North Korean and Chinese missiles have been launched intentionally near to Japan. The panelists urge economic measures against China as well. Chang demands a policy of reciprocity that only accepts Chinese products if China accepts American products.
