Saudi Arabian miniskirt wearing model Khulood arrested by police in Riyadh 2017
A young Saudi woman sparked outrage online by posting a video of herself in a miniskirt and crop top walking around in public, with Saudi officials calling for her arrest. State-linked news websites reported Monday that officials in the deeply conservative Muslim country are looking into taking action against the woman who violated the Kingdom’s rules for dressing in public. Women in Saudi Arabia must wear long, loose robes known as abayas in public. They must also cover their hair and face with a black veil. One of the biggest human rights violators in the world, Saudi Arabia remains to be a close ally of the United States.
