They say patience is a virtue. What is yours will come and that goes for everything - food, toys, karma...No need to fuss over something that is taking it’s sweet time to arrive; just sit down, relax and “let nature take it’s course”. So, let’s say you are a puppy that has a favorite toy. You love that fluffy thing so much, you play with it day in and day out. You tug it with your teeth, toss it every which way, take it everywhere with you, until, one day...they toy breaks. What do you do? Do you cry over your broken toy? Do you break down in tears and demand a new one? Or do you let your human companion take care of it for you, because it is your favorite and you just want it back in the game? Because that is what Abby the black Labrador did and she did it with admiration! As her owner sits on the table, sewing the entrails of that doll back in, Abby sits patiently for her baby to come back to her. Her face says she’s sorry that it broke, but she would really like it back some time soon. So when her owner says that is it done and ready to play again, Abby’s tail starts wagging and all we can think about is “that’s a good girl”! She won’t even snatch it from the table; Abby is so patient, she waits for her owner to hand her the toy! Such a clever girl!

Abby the bodyboarding dog was rescued moments before euthanasia. She never lets her owner forget how grateful she is. Even while taking a short drive, Abby insists on having her paw held. Just look at her eyes, they are full of love. Note, passenger was taking video, not the driver!

Abby loves her stuffed animal, but when she notices a tear in it, she throws it at her owner in a desperate plea to have it repaired. Watch as she waits patiently for her friend to be fixed!

According to her owners, Abby the Labrador rides her bodyboard in the pool for hours! If she wanted to become a surfer, we are sure she would be able to! Her balance and strength on her board is very impressive. Most of us would fall off right away! Abby must have practiced a lot to perfect her awesome talent! In this video, she uses her bodyboard to go fetch her favorite ball, it isn't going to be easy, but she is determined to get it so she can play with it again! Will she fall off? As she starts her journey towards the ball, she uses her paws to move the bodyboard in the right direction, such a smart dog! She uses the back of her body to help keep herself stabilized on the board as she continues to get closer to the ball. When she gets close, she grabs the ball in her mouth and doesn't fall off, hooray! Now she makes the journey back to dry land. There are definitely a few things we can learn from our pets. They are loyal to a fault, they can sense our feelings and give us some love whenever they feel that we might need it. Basically, they are like our best friends, only a hundred times better. Every once in a while, we even see how some of our habits rub off on them, and it definitely makes us want to melt in a puddle of goo, it’s that cute! Some might say that dogs are very easy to please, a little scratch behind the ears, a bit of a smooch and that’s it, they’d be happy for lifetimes to come. Even if it were that easy, there is nothing more rewarding than watching your pet canine happy time and time again. This pupper’s extreme delight comes from playing with her favorite plush toys. Unfortunately her babies had to take a thorough rinse in the washing <a href=https://rumble.com/v3za4b-my-daft-dog-hides-from-thunderstorm.html”” target="_blank">machine</a> and the poor lab had to wait for them to <a href=https://rumble.com/v3zqqn-miniature-dachshund-waiting-for-her-teddy.html”” target="_blank">dry</a>. Her owner calls for Abby to come to the washing room and she hands her the plushies one by one. You can just see how attentive she is to each and every toy. She picks them up in her mouth and puts them all in one pile, almost as if she is counting them. Her wagging tail is a telltale sign that she is extremely happy to be reunited with them once again.

Abby was set to be euthanized at a high kill shelter. A worker at the shelter called no kill shelters in New Jersey asking if they would take her. Jersey shore animal rescue agreed to save her life. Abby was driven from South Carolina by kind people. That’s when my family found her. We went to the shelter. Abby was in a cement run. She never barked. She had an old tennis ball. Her only toy. She is so smart. She was playing fetch with herself. She learned to go to the end of her small kennel, taking her ball then gently pushing it with her nose. When it reached the end of the kennel, she would retrieve the ball. We thought we rescued her, she rescued us. She is dearly loved not only by my family but everyone that meets her. Abby also volunteers at the yearly suicide awareness walks. She has a shirt that says volunteer. People walk up to her, don’t say a word and begin to pet her. Wow! How did this dog not fall into the water when she jumped onto her body board? Such an athletic dog. If I tried standing on a floatie board, i'd be in the water before you could blink! It wasn't an easy jump either, she made a far jump from the edge of the pool to the body board. Somehow, she manages to slowly move the board over to the ball without falling in. That needs a lot of balance and skill! As she continues to move her bodyboard towards the ball, she gets close enough that she can grab it with her mouth. Hooray! After all that, she is still able to jump off the body board back onto dry land. She is definitely in shape! She didn't work up any sweat as she walks away with the ball. She has lots of energy left! We were rooting for her the whole time! It was awesome to see her make it the other side of the pool. What a great video, certainly puts a smile on your face! Awesome! Abby loves to play fetch. She lives on a busy road that is one of the main beach roads to beach access. She waits patiently on the porch for people to walk by and will roll her ball to them so they will play with her!

Abby the Labrador was rescued from a shelter. Abby has a tough start in life, she was severely abused and neglected. When her owners saw Abby in the shelter, her only toy was an old bear up tennis ball. It was love at first sight for the family. Abby the Labrador simply loves the pool. Watch her flawlessly glide across the water while balancing on top of a surfboard. Impressive!

This is Abby, she’s a lab beagle mix. Abby’s backstory is that she had a tough beginning in life. Abby was rescued from an abusive hone and sent to a high kill Shelter in North Carolina. Abby was set to be euthanized, despite her young age of about a year and a half, due to over crowding. With only days left, a worker at the shelter called Jersey Shore Animal Rescue in New Jersey. The worker explained to the staff that due to over crowding they had a sweet dog but she was set to be euthanized. The shelter asked if Jersey Shore could take her if they drove her up to their shelter. Jersey Shore Animal shelter agreed to take her. Abby was at the shelter in NJ for three days. That’s where her story begins with my family. My Mother and I went to the shelter and saw Abby playing with the only toy she had, a tennis ball. Abby would go to the far end of her concrete kennel and push the ball with her nose to the opposite side. Then she would go and retrieve it! We submitted our application for adoption, the next day we were approved. Abby made herself right at home. However, she seemed sad. Low self esteem due to severe abuse. Abby would cower and shake when we would pet her. The vet explained this behavior was due to abuse. She was anticipating pain. Being a lab she was afraid of water. So I decided To help her gain her esteem and her trust in humans back. I did This by placing her on the bodyboard and having a ball drift in the pool. I would gently glide her over to her beloved ball so she could retrieve it. After a few days. Abby learned how to shift her weight to get the bodyboard to move. Abby has been an asset to our family, we adore her and hope you enjoy the video!

Abby was rescued from a kill shelter days just moments before scheduled euthanasia. She came from an abusing hoarding situation. When we adopted her she was timid, would cower when we would attempt to pet her. It was heartbreaking to see her spirit was broken. Now, she lives the good life. She is my Fathers best friend. My Dad has Parkinson’s and she never leaves his side unless you take her lambchop. In the video I had Just come home from working as a Nurse.
