While there have been ATR's flying to Kerikeri previously they have been on charters. 6 February 2024 marks the start of scheduled ATR flights.

0:00-1:29 At about 20:17 12/01/2024 train 650 passes between the fountains in Heretaunga St Hastings enroute to Napier from Palmerston North, with some of it's finest citizens watching on the southern side.
1:29-2:12 Then 7 minutes later train 627 passes Hastings Railway Station. We had packed up at Heretaunga St when we saw the headlights heading south towards us.
