The first helmet camera footage from the Russia-Ukraine war shows members of a Ukrainian Special Operations team ambushing a piece of Russian Armor in the open. For the purpose of context, it is still unclear the time and location that this video was recorded. What we do know is that these are allegedly two Ukrainian Special Operations Soldiers, and they're ambushing what appears to be a Russian T-72 in the open with what appears to be either an RPG-22 or RPG-26 rocket launcher. Cockpit footage shows a Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" attack helicopter providing close air support before being forced to make an emergency landing as a result of Ukrainian ground fire. The chopper's reliance on unguided rockets forces the pilot to fly extremely low to the ground and rocket salvos are not all that accurate when compared to precision munitions which can be fired from safer distances with pinpoint accuracy. Translations on Twitter report the pilot talking about his gearbox coming apart prior to the emergency landing. Footage coming out of Mariupol from the Chechen TikTok Battalion shows an engagement between the Azov Battalion and the Chechens as the fighting in the region ramps to a new level of violence. It's being reported today that fresh Russian Soldiers are entering the fray in Mariupol in an attempt to overwhelm the defenders. Allegedly Russian maritime forces made a landing from the sea to further push the Azov Battalion and Ukrainian Marines back. This footage was recorded as part of that fresh offensive. Footage reportedly shows a "Daisy Chain" of improvised explosive devices (IED) emplaced by Ukrainian special operations forces (SSO) simultaneously targeting a convoy of Russian military vehicles. After the toppling of Saddam Hussein's regime and the initial rise of the Iraqi insurgency in Operation Iraqi Freedom, anti-coalition forces used the daisy chain technique for a short time. After the US added additional armor to their vehicles, the insurgents realized the daisy chain was wasteful and less effective, so they began consolidating their explosives at a single site to ensure catastrophic kills. However, in the footage shown here, the positioning of the devices and the timing of their detonations seem to have been well-planned and executed. Unconfirmed footage that appears to be filmed over the Kyiv Reservoir shows a group of Russian Mi-8 troops transport helicopters flying low to avoid radar detection. They pop countermeasure flares as suspected MANPADS rockets are fired at them. Small arms fire can also be heard throughout the clip. Reports have indicated that a number of Russian helicopters and fighters have been shot down by Ukraine. While no helicopter can be seen getting hit in this video, a witness photo circulating online appears to show the result of one being shot down into the reservoir. This is the logging process of 2,000 acres of private land that was burnt back in September by the Lionshead Fire in Sisters Oregon.
